Kastanitsa – Moody Views
Rose and I went on a short, overnight bike trip to the tiny Peloponnese town called Kastanitsa. I made a short YouTube video of the trip. It’s my first time editing a video, but I think it turned out pretty well!
Kastanitsa is an ancient town nestled between the surrounding hills. The town is known for its white and blue painted houses with unique slate roof tops.
The town has tight winding streets, is surrounded by groves of chestnut trees (καστανια means “chestnut” in Greek) and is filled with well-fed neighborhood cats.
We took our trusty Canyon Grizl gravel bikes as there are lots of rough gravel roads to explore between Leonidio and Kastanitsa.
The rainy weather forced us to take a break from climbing. It was good to get back on the bikes and go for a ride!
